Mandarin Middle School Summer Camps
Mandarin Middle School - an FCAT "A" School 2001-2008
The mission of Mandarin Middle School is to educate, challenge and promote excellence within our student population through academic performance standards, civic responsibility, and extracurricular and social activities while providing a successful transition from elementary to high school.
Mandarin Middle is pleased to announce that once again we will be hosting Summer Camps. Our summer camp classes are a great way to keep your children active and safe over their summer break. The summer camps are taught by teachers at Mandarin Middle School, therefore, you can be assured that your child will be in a structured, safe and fun environment. So, come join us and be a part of Mandarin Middle Summer Camps Sizzling Summer Fun.
Mandarin Middle Camps run for 1 week unless noted, Monday-Friday from 8:30-2:30. Our camps are open to any rising 6th, 7th or 8th grader. You do not need to have attended Mandarin Middle during the academic year in order to participate in our camps; it is open to anyone. So please, share this information with someone that might like to attend our camps. Each week should provide you with many diverse camp choices. Please scroll down to download all camp descriptions and dates; they are available in both PDF and DOC form.
Registration Information
We will begin registrations for Mandarin Middle Summer Camps on March 9th and will continue until camps are closed due to full enrollment. REGISTRATION FOR EACH CAMP WILL BE CLOSED THE THURSDAY PRIOR TO THE CAMP START DATE. Available below are our registration forms that you can download. If you have chosen a camp with a required field trip, please download and fill out that form as well. Registration forms can be mailed or brought to Mandarin Middle School, 5100 Hood Road 32257. Registration hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. WE CAN NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. I AM SORRY FOR IT IS DCSB POLICY. If mailing, please make sure that you put: "Attention: Summer Camps". Before making a payment, please email me or check the web site for updates to see if the camps you want are still available. Register early and include all your camp choices at one time. Your spot will be reserved when payment is made.

Drop Off/Pick Up Information
ALL CAMPS ON MONDAY MORNING WILL MEET OUTSIDE THE MAIN OFFICE WHERE THE INSTRUCTORS WILL GREET THEIR CAMPERS. This is the entrance off of the parking lot on Hood Road. Monday afternoon and the rest of the week, if your child is participating in a sports camp, should be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school in the athletic parking lot off of Hornets Nest Road. For the campers in non-sports related camps, you will drop off and pick your child up in the parking lot on Hood Road. IMPORTANT: No camper can be dropped off before 8:20. Dropping your child off before that time could result in us asking you not to return for the remainder of the camp. All campers must be picked up at 2:30. We will charge a fee of $5.00 for every 15 minutes you are late picking up your child, and that fee must be paid prior to starting the next day of camp. We do not offer an extended day program at this time, so please plan accordingly.
Items Your Camper Will Need to Bring or Wear
Campers should bring a bag lunch including a drink and any snack they would like Monday-Thursday. Friday lunch will be provided for them. Digital Photography requires that you bring a digital camera and the USB cord for the camera. If you are participating in a sports camp, you should bring a water bottle and a small towel each day. Cleats are not to be worn in the building so please wear sneakers to camp. Clothing should be appropriate for your selected sport camps. If you are not participating in a sports camp, please dress appropriately, as you would during the academic school year.
